Celtic Spring Band ::

Celtic Spring is on to the finals of America's Got Talent!!! Thank you, America, for all your love and support!!! We are awed and humbled by everyone's generous response.

Celtic Spring returned to Hollywood with joy and enthusiasm for the last round of the semi-finals. We tried to prepare ourselves by lots of practice and lots of prayer. We thought we were well prepared! We performed our set and knew that we had performed our very best. The audience responded with a spontaneous standing ovation and we happily walked before the judges eagerly awaiting their laudatory remarks. We were not prepared for the response of the judge, Piers Morgan. We had liked Piers all along, appreciating his articulate and clear delivery of honest though harsh assessments of much of the talent. We thought he would be delighted with our act. Instead, he greeted us with, "You must dump your parents and your little brother..." Although, he did say that the other five could go on to win the million dollars. Well, our oldest son, Sean, went on to defend our family act like he was protecting us from a wild lion at bay. We had no idea such spunk was in him and my respect for him increased considerably. Furthermore, Patrick, our son next in line, surprised us by telling Regis Philbin the simple truth: the children are the performers and we the parents, are their back up band. Patrick said, "The other acts have the in-house back up band, and our back up band is our parents." Hooray for Sean and Patrick!!! Our younger children did not fare so well, and were very saddened by Pier's words. Their dear sad faces said it all. We are a family band and we are a family doing what we love to do--- playing music together and sharing the joy of the Celtic fiddle and dance. Whether we play and dance for huge crowds or in our living room, we will play, dance, and pray together. We are truly grateful to America for appreciating that. And how many people can fiddle and dance at the same time???
