October 9th, 2003
We are about to have another very full weekend of performing. Tomorrow we do four school shows, and on Saturday and Sunday we do five performances at the Seaside Highland Games Festival in Ventura. We are happy to be performing at such a wonderful festival practically in our own neighborhood.

We just found out that we will be aired on Japanese television this Sunday, October 12th. We were selected by Nippon TV for their program, Planet of Angels, which highlights families around the world who interact in a meaningful and communicative way. Video games and computers have taken over the lives of the young people in Japan, and this program tries to show young people and their families that there are other ways to live. The Japanese director of Planet of Angels and his film crew spent about four hours at our home a few weeks ago filming, and we were happy to meet Suzuki and his crew and were honored to have these gracious people in our home. Now we must find someone fluent in Japanese who can translate the narration for us.

Of other exciting news, we have been invited to perform on Christmas Eve at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion in Los Angeles for the 44th Annual Los Angeles County Holiday Celebration. The celebration will be broadcast "live" on PBS and we have been selected for a mini-documentary that will be part of the Holiday Celebration broadcast. We are getting quite comfortable with the genre of television as a way to share what life is like behind the scene with Celtic Spring.
